David and Chandra Simmons, Cindy and Billy Odom of Bay Minette, announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Lynn Simmons, to Joshua Dewayne Newton, the son of Ricky and Donna Day and Terry Newton of Bay Minette.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bettie Simmons of Mobile and Betty Blankenship of Bay Minette.
The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Don and Joyce Harrel of Andalusia, and Glenda Velt Newton of Andalusia.
The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2007 at the Wedding Chapel in Bay Minette.
