SUMMERDALE, Alabama --- A single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on County Road 32 claimed the life of a Silverhill woman.

According to a release by the Alabama State Trooper’s office, Amber Lynn Collins, 26, of Silverhill was killed when the 2008 Ford Fusion she was driving, traveled off the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

The accident occurded at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, three miles west of Summerdale.

According to the report, issued by Trooper Greg Eubanks, public information and education officer with the Alabama Department of Public Safety, Collis was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers are still investigating, according to the release.
