PENSACOLA, Fla. — The Silver Rhythm Dancers of Rowlett High School, Texas will perform at the National Naval Aviation Museum at 2 p.m. on April 3.
Formed in 1996, the Silver Rhythm Dancers is a military style drill team that participates in the competitive dance circuit both throughout the United States and abroad, competing against teams from Great Britain, Australia, Japan and other countries.
When not traveling the world, the team performs their half-time show at Rowlett High varsity games, as well as many community events and parades.
As winners of the 2008 National American Dance/Drill Competition, the Silver Rhythm Dancers are an elite group of young women who also dedicate much of their time to giving back to their communities.
This year, the dancers are especially focused on expressing appreciation to the military who are currently serving our country. They organized a “Greet the Troops” event at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, recruiting more than 100 people to welcome the troops at the terminal and pass out water
The Silver Rhythm Dancers also participated in Veteran’s Day ceremonies, creating custom “tokens” to distribute in appreciation for our soldiers.
Don’t miss their performance!
