Short game and putting clinics kick off in August

GULF SHORES, Ala. - Gulf Coast Golf Academy Lead Instructor Rea Shussler and special guest Rick Wright will host Short Game and Putting Clinics Aug. 6-8.

Wright is a Nationally recognized putting expert and considered one of the pioneers of putter fitting developing the first comprehensive putting fitting system with partner Kirk Currie which was licensed by Slazenger Golf in 1996. He personally fit Jack Nicklaus during this time and he used this putter during the last few years of his career. Rick has also developed the putting TBar and high powered laser optics alignment putting aid both used by over 400 hundred PGA Instructors and 170 College Golf Programs.

The clinics will have two sessions each day. All clinics will cover all aspects of the short game plus a personalized evaluation of putting and putter by Wright. The morning clinic will be from 8 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. and the afternoon clinic will be from 1-5:15 p.m. Each clinic will be limited to five students each. Rea Schuessler will cover all short game instruction to include chipping, pitching, sand and partial to full wedges.

The cost $175 per clinic.

The clinics will take place at Peninsula (Aug. 6), Craft Farms (Aug. 7) and Kiva Dunes (Aug. 8).
