Shirley Jean Christman, age 90, of Holland, MI, and a former Foley resident passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Holland on Saturday, July 7, 2012.
She was born May 2, 1922, to James and Maxine Mills in Indianapolis, IN. Shirley loved her family, and was strong in her faith and love for God. Shirley is survived and lovingly remembered by sons Bruce (Barbara) of Austin, TX, Mark (Melinda) of Lansing, Brian (Chanda) of Grand Haven, and Kevin (MaryLynne) of Phoenix, AZ, daughter Giselle Fox (David) of Phoenix, AZ, thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, George G. Christman, this past April, and parents, James and Maxine Mills. A private memorial service will be held by family on Tuesday, with interment at the family plot in Spring Lake Cemetery being held at a future date.
