ROBERTSDALE, Ala. -- More than 100 campers participated in the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office Shining Star Camp, which began Wednesday at Central Baldwin Middle School. The camp, which is run by Deputy Jeff Spaller, school resource/community outreach officer with the Sheriff’s Department, started in Bay Minette with 60 campers in 2009. It now boasts more than 100 campers in each of its three camps. The first camp was held in June at Baldwin County High School. The final camp will be held in August at Fairhope Intermediate School.
