When Sherian Cain heard that nationally known choreographer Victor Smalley was conducting a one-day intensive workshop in Hattiesburg, MS she took immediate action. Ms Sherian, as she is known at Sherian’s School of Dance in Foley, rented a van, packed up her competition/performance team dancers and headed for Hattiesburg.

Smalley stars in Dance Moms: Miami, a new reality-TV show about the day-to-day events at his Miami-based Stars dance studio. He is also a veteran of So You Think You Can Dance.

“There’s only so much I can do in a little bit of time, but if I can just inspire someone or help bring confidence to a dancer that just feels like giving up, then I did my job,” Smalley said.

“The goal at our studio is to provide as many opportunities as possible for our dancers. Exposure to highly talented choreographers like Victor not only makes them better dancers, it also broadens their view of the art form.” said Ms Cain.
