Alex Thagard has been selected by Segers Aero Corp. as its new director of international sales and marketing.

He will start work af the company’s Fairhope facility on Feb. 7, according to a Segers news release.

The company provides aviation services to fixed and rotary wing aircraft to military and commercial customers worldwide, according to its website.

Lt. Col. Thagard will be retiring from the Air Force with over 22 years of active service. He was airpower advisor to ambassadors and chiefs of air forces in Indonesia, Peru and Thailand, responsible for foreign military sales, air operations and international training programs.

He worked in more than 30 different countries and flew over 180 hours of combat support missions in the MC-130P Combat Shadow aircraft during Operation Northern Watch, according to the release.
