Search and Rescue Fundraiser planned

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — The Search and Rescue Fundraiser for the North Baldwin and Daphne Volunteer Search and Rescue organizations and for Southwest Panhandle Search and Rescue K-9/EFA Team (SWPANSAR.org), sponsored by Bass Pro Shops, will be held March 27, from noon until 5 p.m., at American Legion Post 199, 700 S. Mobile St. in Fairhope.

There will be a free Moonwalk for the kids, along with performances by various musicians, an art show, silent auctions, cake sales, food and appearances by search dogs, along with equipment demonstrations.

Music on the Beach Stage, from 3-8 ($5 donation requested) includes L.A. Social Club and the Ruffwater Band. The Tiki Bar will be open with hot dogs and cool refreshments during performances.

Bring lawn chairs and sunscreen for the beach. The event moves inside if raining.

Then, the Legion Open Guitar Jam with host Ron Stacey & Honky Tonk Country follows from 8-11 p.m. on the Legion Hall Stage.
