Scott Lee O’Gwynn

Scott Lee O’Gwynn passed away Sept. 2, 2013.

He was born in Pensacola, Fla. on March 29, 1956 to Claude Cecil and Grace Anna O’Gwynn. The family moved to Foley in 1962. 

Scott graduated from Foley High School in 1974. Scott was class president of his senior class, and class favorite. He was a graduate of Pensacola Junior College Nursing Program, and was presently employed with West Florida Hospital Pavilion.

Scott was a self-taught musician. He was quite talented at playing drums, and was presently learning to play guitar.

He spent many years playing with the same band, and enjoyed many gigs with his band mates and friends.

Scott enjoyed playing golf, playing his drums and cheering on his Auburn Tigers.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Grace O’Gwynn; and one sister.

Scott leaves behind three brothers, Tim (Elvie) O’Gwynn of Mobile, Phil (Sharon) O’Gwynn of Foley and Sean (Diane) O’Gwynn of Pensacola; and one sister, Molly O’Gwynn (Alex) Geiger of Foley. He also leaves behind one nephew, Shane; four nieces, Katie, Jenna, Kathryn and Sydney; one great-niece, Brennan; one great-nephew, Ryder; cousins; and many friends.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

He will be missed, and is loved by all of us.
