Nathan Lee Scott Sr. died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Dec. 9, 1932 in Mexia to Addis and Nettie Scott. He was married to his loving wife Betty on Sept. 1, 1953. They moved to Bay Minette in 1959 where all seven children attended school and many of them still live in the area. He was a retired electrician with Alabama Dry Docks and Ship Building.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; children, Nathan Jr., Robin (Donna), Sam (Donna) Joe (Jennifer), Laura, Dan (Pam) and Ray (Christie); grandchildren Nathan III, James, Jonathan, Eric, Carman Lacey, Joshua, Jahleh and Adison; and four great-grandchildren, Caleb, Carlee, Madison and Tyler.
Graveside funeral services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 22 at Bay Minette Cemetery with Dr. Chip Starns officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Nathan Scott III, James Scott, Jonathan Scott, Eric Scott, Joshua Scott and Bob Jones.
Arrangements are by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
