School officials helped with Pink events

Page and Palette recently had the privilege of hosting two speaking and signing events with New York Times bestselling author Daniel Pink. The former White House speechwriter inspired the audience of community leaders, educational professionals, business owners, students and many other attendees with his message of how to prepare for what the future holds for the American Worker. Pink’s presentation offered participants powerful, eye-opening observations about the evolution of the business world.

My sincerest appreciation goes out to all of those who worked so hard to bring Pink’s message to Baldwin County. I would like to thank Dr. Faron Hollinger, superintendent of the Baldwin County School System, Vicky Cook, BCPS fine arts and library media supervisor and the Baldwin County Board of Education for their support and for encouraging area educators to learn more about Pink’s work. Thanks to Terry Thompson Chevrolet and Lulu’s at Homeport Marina for also contributing to this exciting event. Because of their donations, each attendee received a complimentary copy of Pink’s latest book, “The Adventures of Johnny Bunko: The Last Career Guide You’ll Ever Need.”
