Braxton Scarborough, of Baldwin County High School, pitched a no-hitter in a match-up against the Foley Lions on Tuesday, Feb. 22.
BCHS Coach Zeb Hilburn said Scarborough "pitched seven brilliant innings. It was exciting to watch, because he isn't a guy that will blow it by hitters. Had hitters off balance all night."
Scarborough had six strike outs in the game with one hit by pitch.
"If he didn't hit the batter in the seventh inning, it would have been a perfect game, which is extremely rare," the coach said.
The defense also played "flawless behind Braxton throughout the game," Hilburn said.
For the offense, JW Jackson, Quincy Walters, Myles Davis, Canyon Odom, and Justin Brunson each managed one hit. Brunson led the way with 2 RBI's as the Tigers went on to win 4-0 on the road.
