SPANISH FORT, Ala.—Frugal shoppers have no time to spare if they want to cash in on the latest Savvy Mom consignment sale, concluding June 25 at the Gathering Place in the Prodisee Center.

"I got a whole season of clothes for my 6-year-old at the winter sale for less than $30. I’m not missing this one," said Rhonda Baxter of Spanish Fort.

Jennifer Hammond’s periodic consignment sale accepts gently-used children’s clothing (up to size 16), toys, shoes, books, movies and miscellaneous children’s furniture and equipment. Maternity items are also welcome.

The sale runs June 23-24 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and all prices will be slashed in half for the final day, June 25 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Hammond has stated repeatedly she created the sale to help local families "clear out the clutter and cash in" with consignors collecting a base return of 65 percent on all sales and the potential to recoup as much as 75 percent of their items’ sale values by volunteering their time.
