The Alabama Bureau of Tourism and Travel is sponsoring and promoting Saturday Walking Tours in June in select cities throughout Alabama.
The city of Fairhope was invited to host free, guided tours in the downtown area for visitors and the local community during the five Saturdays in June.
On June 2 and 9, Donnie Barrett, director of the Fairhope Historical Museum, will lead a general historic tour of downtown.
On June 16, Dean Mosher, who serves on the Fairhope Single Tax Board and owns the Storybook Castle, will lead the guided tour focusing on Fairhope’s Single Tax History.
On June 23 and 30, Fairhope’s Committee on Public Art, will lead guided tours of their latest pelican project, “Art Takes Flight.”
All tours will begin at 10 a.m. at the Fairhope Welcome Center, and will last approximately 45 minutes. All are welcome and the tours are free of charge.
