Sarah Ann Carter Bryars, 79, born in Delaware County, Pa. and a resident of Dyas, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 at North Baldwin Infirmary.
She was a homemaker and mother to nine children.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Bryars of Dyas; five sons, Robert Gardner of Bay Minette, John (Shelby) Gardner of Excel, Arthur (Gerri) Gardner of Robertsdale, Thomas (Tiki) Gardner of Perdido and Edward (Bess) Gardner of Rabun; three daughters, Theresa Gardner of Dyas, Roseanna (Shannon) Edwards of Malcom and Katie (Charles) Jones of Robertsdale; a sister, Pat Lucussie of Euse, Fla.; 35 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Gertrude Carter; and a son, Donald Phillip Gardner.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015, at 2 p.m., at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home in Atmore, with Sister Helen Stewart officiating.
Burial will follow in White Cemetery in Dyas.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Darrin Gardner, J.R. Gardner, Billy Gardner, Robbie Gardner, Thomas Sprinkle and Phillip Gardner.
Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Coleman and Shannon Edwards.
