The Sea Glass Initiative will host its 2nd Annual Salty Shuffle Charity Poker Cruise on Saturday, June 13, offering a daylong boating event along the Intracoastal Waterway to support efforts to end homelessness in Baldwin County.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and begins with participants traveling a route that includes stops between Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. The cruise concludes at Legendary Marina and Yacht Club, 335 Waterway W. Boulevard, where organizers will host a waterfront after-party from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The post-cruise celebration will feature live music, food, games, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle. Cash prizes will be awarded for the best poker hands, including first- and second-place winners. A separate competition will recognize the best decorated boat, encouraging participants to bring themed vessels to the water.

Organizers say the event is designed to appeal to a wide audience, from experienced boaters to families looking for a day outdoors. All boat types are welcome.

“Join the Sea Glass Initiative, in partnership with Legendary Marina and Yacht Club Gulf Shores and Dockside Guide, for a day of sun, salt, and fun as we cruise the Intracoastal Waterway.”

New participation options have been added this year for those without boats. A shuttle entry is available for $75 per person, with seating limited to 14 participants. A land-based option allows attendees to drive themselves and join the stops for $50 per person.

Boat entry is $100 and includes one event T-shirt and a captain’s swag bag. Additional players may join a vessel for $30 each. Organizers note that space is limited and early registration is encouraged.

A new pre-event reception will also take place Friday, June 12, at Legendary Marina and Yacht Club. The kickoff gathering is reserved for captains and sponsors.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Sea Glass Initiative, a nonprofit focused on addressing homelessness in Baldwin County through community-driven programs and support services.
