Ruby J. Burkett was called home Sunday, July 28, 2013, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Jan. 10, 1943 to the late Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Smith.
She was a retired nurse, loving mother and grandmother.
Ms. Ruby was preceded in death by two children, Dennis and Joni.
She is survived by her son, David J. (Lynn) Burkett Sr.; her daughters, Karen B. (Terry) Dobbins and Toni L. (Randy) McPherson; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at 8 p.m., at the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne. The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m.
