RTF Project Services is investing $2.2 million to develop a new 20-acre operational facility at Bay Minette Industrial Park, a project expected to bring approximately 140 jobs to Baldwin County.
According to a news release, the Alabama-based electrical and industrial services company is establishing its main operations in Bay Minette as it expands its capacity to serve customers nationwide. The new facility will provide RTF with a home base for its operations while creating opportunities in skilled trades related to electrical, instrumentation and industrial services.
RTF currently operates in Bay Minette and Butler, Alabama, as well as Alexandria, Louisiana. The company serves customers throughout the nation and has extensive experience in instrumentation and controls, electrical services and project management.
Its expertise spans a broad range of industries, including fossil fuel power generation, onshore oil and gas, refining, chemical, LNG, manufacturing, pulp and paper and infrastructure.
“RTF has a proven track record in the industries that drive Alabama's economy, and we're excited that they have chosen Bay Minette as the location to expand their operations,” said Chair of the Bay Minette Industrial Development Board and Vice President of Finance at Fulcrum Construction Karmen Still in the release. “This is more than a new address for an established company. It represents meaningful, skilled employment opportunities and another strong addition to Bay Minette's growing industrial base.”
The release said the planned facility comes as Bay Minette and the surrounding region experience significant industrial growth and increased demand for skilled electrical and industrial services. RTF's presence is expected to add to the area's expanding network of businesses supporting Alabama's energy, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
Approximately 140 positions are expected to be created through the project, providing employment opportunities in the skilled trades associated with RTF's electrical, instrumentation and industrial services.
Patrick Hicks, RTF Coastal Division Manager, said the company's investment represents an opportunity to contribute to the community where he grew up.
“Being from the Bay Minette area, I’ve seen firsthand the growth and opportunity throughout Baldwin County and surrounding areas, and I’m proud to be part of an organization that is investing in the community we call home,” said Patrick Hicks, RTF Coastal Division Manager. “Over the past two years with RTF Project Services, I’ve had the opportunity to build relationships with local partners and see the positive impact that quality project work can have on our communities. We’re excited about what this next chapter brings and look forward to continuing to serve Baldwin County and the surrounding areas.”
The 20-acre site at Bay Minette Industrial Park will support RTF's continued operations and expansion in the region. Additional details about the future operational facility are expected to be announced later this year.
Lee Lawson of Baldwin Alliance said RTF's decision reflects the broader economic momentum in Baldwin County.
“RTF's decision to establish its main operations in Bay Minette is another example of the momentum we're seeing across Baldwin County,” said Lee Lawson of Baldwin Alliance. “Companies like RTF bring not only jobs, but specialized expertise and long-term economic activity. Their presence strengthens our workforce and reinforces Baldwin County's position as a place where established companies can grow and invest.”
