Roy Robert Tyler, 75, a native of Leominster, Mass. and resident of Foley, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.
Mr. Tyler is survived by his wife, Diane Wetmore Tyler; mother, Ruth Cyr of Boxboro, Mass.; children, Debra T. Perry and Tamela E. Tyler of Marlboro, Mass., Anthony L. (LeeAnne) Tyler of Maynard, Mass., Catherine J. (Christopher) Meloche of Webster, Mass. and Richard (Joanne) Tyler of Acton, Mass.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Tyler was a faithful volunteer with various fire departments for much of his life. He began his volunteer work at the early age of 16, volunteering primarily with organizations located in the cities of Leominster and Maynard, Mass.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church in Foley.
