It’s Spring cleaning time…and Rosinton Elementary School wants to help you clear the clutter by having a used book, yard and bake sale on Saturday, April 30 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
A fundraiser for the PTO (Parent Teacher Organization), the book sale benefits the library while the yard and bake sale proceeds will go toward teacher supplies for the classroom.
“We are selling spaces for $20 and anyone can participate and anything made beyond the $20 is yours to keep. You can bring furniture, toys, clothing, trinkets or other items to sell but just make sure you have a way to move it if doesn’t sell,” said Hope Sommer, PTO president.
Each person participating will be responsible for bringing their own table, setting it up and staying with it and cleaning up afterward, Sommer said, and RES will not be responsible for anything left behind.
There will also be a raffle for two painted rocking chairs from fourth grade teacher Kelly Webb for $1 each and the drawing will be at 2 p.m.
RES librarian Becky Malone is also requesting gently used book for the book sale and they should be age and content appropriate. Plastic bags are also needed for the book sale.
Bake sale items of all shapes and sizes are also going to be available and can be delivered to the school library on Friday, April 29.
“This is an annual event and we have so much fun with it. You always find something you need and it benefits our great teachers and gives back to the school,” explained RES principal Theresa Harden.
RES is located at 19757 County Road 64 and for more information about space rental or the book or bake sale, contact Sommer at (251) 747-3058.
