William Wilson “Bill” Rogers, 59, died Sunday, May 27, 2007 at West Florida Hospital's Hospice Wing after a lengthy illness.
He was a native of Laurel, Miss., and a resident of Gulf Shores. He was retired from the U.S. Army where he served his country for 27 years. His military career included two Asian tours of duty and one European tour.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Linton Rogers of Gulf Shores; two daughters, Cynthia Stevison of Huntsville and Sharon Barnett of Los Angeles; step-son, John Chancellor of Orlando, Fla.; and seven grandchildren, Brandon, Hunter, Katy, Shelby, Andy and Morgan.
A private family memorial service will be held later.
The family requests memorial donations be made to Covenant Hospice of Pensacola, Fla.
Arrangements are by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Foley.
