A robot visited science and math students at RHS this week. The da Vinci Si Robotic-Assisted Surgical System, which is coming to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, is taking surgery beyond the limits of the human hand by providing surgeons with greater precision and control. During the robot’s visit, students learned about robotic surgery and the different roles individuals have on the robotic surgery team. Students were even given the opportunity to manipulate the robot to perform different exercises in precision.
