ROBERTSDALE, Ala. - Get your kiddies dressed in their cutest costumes and bring their plastic pumpkins to Robertsdale Public Library on Tuesday, October 26 from 6-8 p.m. for “Halloween Fun Night” Trunk or Treat.

Located at 18301 Pennsylvania Ave., Library director Cynthia Nall said they will have free hot dogs, chips and drinks for kids and adults to enjoy plus plenty of candy to fill up pumpkins and bags of various sizes.

“I am ordering 500 hot dogs this year so the parents can get one too and I provide all the candy so parents don’t have to worry about where it came from,” Nall said.

The trunk or treat activities will take place on the lawn and parking lot in front of the library as well as carnival games like ring toss, rubber duckies, sack races and broom races. Inside the library will be crafts like a ghost or bookmark to create.

“The trunk or treat participants are people I know so I can control that and there will be a contest for the best decorated trunk where there will be money prizes. I encourage everyone to decorate really cute,” Nall said.

This is the fourth year for the event and is primarily for children 12 and under, Nall said. Around 300 or so kids have attended in years past and Nall is hopeful more will attend this year and the street will be blocked off from traffic for the event.

“This is my favorite holiday and my gift to the children of the community. I want them to know they can have a fun, happy and safe time and also get a chance to see the library all decorated up,” Nall said.
