Robertsdale police arrest three on meth manufacture charges

ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — Three people were arrested on charges related to the manufacture of methamphetamine in Robertsdale last week.

According to police sources, Travis Smith, 34, Micheal Victoria Moon, 24 and Thomas Williams, 26 were arrested on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance. As of Wednesday morning, they were in the Baldwin County Corrections Center.

“This is part of an ongoing investigation,” said Sgt. Rex Bishop, a spokesman for the Robertsdale Police Department. He declined to say how police learned of the lab.

Bishop says officers executing a search warrant at 20396 Baldwin County South 48 did not uncover an active “meth” lab, but, “Officers recovered numerous items used in the manufacture of methamphetamine” and a “very small amount” of the drug.

The investigation is ongoing.

Methamphetamine affects the brain’s use of dopamine and serotonin. Psychological effects of the drug include euphoria, increased anxiety and obsessive behavior. Meth is highly addictive and withdrawal from the drug is difficult.
