ROBERTSDALE, Ala. — With a meeting that lasted a bit under four minutes, the Robertsdale City Council may have set a record of sorts.
All members were present for the 8 a.m. meeting, with the exception of Aubrey Grant.
One of the first orders of business after approving the minutes of the Dec. 1 meeting and approving the payment of $178,313.18 in bills was moving next month’s work session. Normally, it would take place on Jan. 19. That date is Martin Luther King Day in 2009.
“I move to change the date to Jan. 20,” said council member Paul Hollingsworth,
The motion was seconded by Sue Cooper and was passed unanimously
The second order of business was the purchase of a $250 sign for the Robertsdale High softball team. That motion passed uniamiously, with Paul Hollingsworth abstaining.
