KNOXVILLE, Tennessee - Two former Baldwin County standout athletes helped the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in a 44-13 win over rival Tennessee on Saturday.
Freshman running T.J. Yeldon, a Daphne High School graduate, rushed for 129 yards and two touchdowns while Lester, a Foley High School graduate, had an interception and four total tackles in the win. Yeldon has rushed for more than 100 yards in back-to-back games and three times on the season. He rushed for 144 against Missouri and 111 in his college football debut against Michigan to start the season. Lester's interception was the 12th of his career and ranks him eighth in Alabama history.
Foley's D.J. Fluker also started at tackle for Alabama, who hosts Mississippi State this Saturday.
Yeldon played football at Daphne High School for head coach Glenn Vickery, while Lester and Fluker played at Foley High School for head coach Todd Watson.
