Robert K. “Skip” Saxton, 79, of Elberta passed away in his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

Robert was born Feb. 23, 1934 in Hartford, Conn., son of Robert and Irene Saxton.

He graduated from Ellsworth High in 1952, and retired from United Technology in 1995 after 39 years of service.

Robert was a member of Warehouse Point Fire Department with 40 years of service, a lifetime member of the Broad Brook Fishing Club and 45-year member of Masonic Lodge No. 28.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gail Saxton; two sons, Allan R. Saxton of Enfield, Conn. and Richard A. (Teresa) Saxton of McLouth, Kan.; one daughter, Lynn A. (Robert) Bull of Foley; grandchildren, Jennifer, Adam, Ryan, Robert, Megan and Melody; two great-grandchildren, Andrea and Noah; sister-in-law, June Sargent of East Windsor, Conn.; and hunting friend, James Radawitz of Somers, Conn.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at 10 a.m., at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Foley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 8150 Brookriver Dr. Suite 5102, Dallas, TX 75247.
