Robert Elliott Eastburn, age 90, born in Montgomery, Ala. and a resident of Gulf Shores, Ala., died Friday Aug. 21, 2015.
Mr. Eastburn was a member of the American Legion and the Ancient Aviators of South Alabama. He was a pilot for 60 years and a crop-duster for 30 years.
Mr. Eastburn was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Jo (Radford) Eastburn; and son, Michael Raymond Eastburn.
He is survived by his son, Robert Elliot Eastburn Jr.; sisters, Marggie Kennedy of Foley, Ala. and Dot Barke of Dallas, Texas; brother, Ralph Eastburn of Foley, Ala. Six grandsons and numerous great-grandchildren also survive him.
Mr. Eastburn’s celebration of life will be Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, from noon to 1 p.m.; funeral service will directly follow that at 1 p.m. at Pine Rest Funeral Home.
