Robert Denzel Veal, 75, born in Troy, Ala. and a resident of Bay Minette, died at his residence Monday, July 22, 2013.
He was a heavy equipment operator at McDuffie Coal Terminal, and also retired from International Paper Co. in 1985.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Williford Veal of Bay Minette; his children, Judy Vanessa (Scott) Hunt of Lilburn, Ga., Robert Denzel (Phyllis Wallace) Veal II of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Elana Veal (Brian S.) Carson of Bay Minette; one brother, Franklin Dewey Veal of Montgomery; one sister, Mary Martha Austin of Daleville, Ala.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, from 2 until 4 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall.
