FOLEY, Ala. — Foley police are looking for a suspect who robbed a convenience store at Hickory Street and U.S. Highway 98 the night of Dec. 11.

According to Sgt. Tony Fuqua, an investigator with Foley Police Department, a white male wearing a hooded sweatshirt entered what locals refer to as “Buck’s Store” at approximately 10:30 p.m. and pushed his way to the cash register. The suspect, who was brandishing a knife, demanded that three females working in the store open the safe, Fuqua said.

When the females said they couldn’t open the safe, Fuqua said the male took less than $400 from the cash register and left the building, perhaps getting into a waiting vehicle. No one was injured during the robbery.

Police are asking that anyone with information concerning the suspect call 943-4431. The suspect is described as being 6’3” with a slim to medium build. The hooded sweatshirt he was wearing at the time had the name “Abercrombie” across the front, Fuqua said.
