Richard L. Dunwoodie, 64, of Fairhope, formerly of Detroit, died Thursday, April 19, 2012.

A veteran of the Vietnam war, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Suzanne Dunwoodie, Fairhope; two daughters, Ashley Dunwoodie (Tim) Walker, Orlando, Fla., Megan (Lawrence) Castiglione, Aurora, Colo.

 He is preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Erin German, Prescott, Ariz.; two sons, Stephen Richard (Sabrina) Dunwoodie, Navarre, Fla., Sean Leo (Deanna) Dunwoodie, Dickson, Tenn; son of Vivian and the late Leo Dunwoodie, South Lyon, Mich.; two brothers, Russell (Sharon) Dunwoodie, Freeland, Mich., Dennis (Catherine) Dunwoodie, Cincinnati, Ohio; two sisters, Susan (Rich) DeCooman, Redford, Mich., Sharon (Jay) Rice, Novi, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at a Celebration of Rich's Life at Styx River Campground Saturday, April 28 at  11 a.m.  until. Flowers may be sent to the Dunwoodie Family home at 118 Echo Lane, Fairhope, AL 36532 or a donation may be made in Rich's name to Abundant Life Christian Center, 1101 Co.
