Rev. John Andrew Brooks, 80, a native of Tallassee and resident of Robertsdale, passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014.
He is survived by his wife, Sonja Faye Brooks of Robertsdale; two sons, Steve (Pat) Brooks of Robertsdale and Shawn (Michelle) Brooks of Douglas County, Ga.; a sister, Barbara Ann Ellis of Fort Olgetree, Ga.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
There will be a military service with honors for Mr. Brooks at Fort Mitchell Cemetery at Fort Mitchell, Ala. on Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, at 2:30 p.m., with the Rev. Shawn Brooks officiating.
