Ret. Air Force Master Sgt. William Fredrick (Fred) Black, age 87, of Niceville, passed away on July 18, 2015 at his home with family by his side.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Ruth Black; two sisters, Dorothy Pendleton and Josephine Downs; and two brothers, Alvin and Glen Black.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Black; daughter, Debbie Moore; three sons and their wives, Bill and Kay Black, Mike and Lynn Black and Jim Black; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Heritage Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
