With the holiday season in full swing, here are some new restaurant and food spots that have opened in recent weeks or are currently in the works across coastal Baldwin County.
EASTERN SHORE
Fat Al's Burger Joint - Daphne
Old Towne Daphne has a new burger restaurant with Fat Al's Burger Joint, located inside Grizzly Pizza and Wings at 1709 Main St. They serve smash burgers, milkshakes, chicken sliders, loaded fries and much more. They are open seven days a week.
Bullet Coffee - Fairhope
Fairhope has a new coffee spot with Bullet Coffee, located at 23764 US 98 West. The establishment has dine-in seating and a drive-through and serves a wide variety of coffee and tea. They are open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Chick-Fil-A begins construction - Fairhope
Construction on the new Chick-Fil-A in Fairhope is officially underway at Plantation Pointe where Ruby Tuesday used to reside before being demolished. As previously reported by GCM, city planners hope to have it open by Spring 2026.
New Culver's in the works - Fairhope
The City of Fairhope's planning commission approved plans for a new Culver's, a fast-food chain that serves Butterburgers, frozen custard and more, that will be located in the Planter's Pointe shopping center on Highway 181 in Fairhope. Culver's currently has two other locations in Foley and Orange Beach.
GULF SHORES / ORANGE BEACH
Anchored Coffee House - Gulf Shores
Anchored Coffee House has opened at 1229 Gulf Shores Parkway and serves locally roasted coffee along with breakfast and lunch. They are open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Sunliner Diner opens new location - Orange Beach
Sunliner Diner has expanded from its original Baldwin County location in Gulf Shores with a new spot in Orange Beach at 26036 Perdido Beach Blvd. The classic 1950s-themed American diner features the same nostalgic experience, with breakfast served all day and lunch and dinner also offered, along with the eatery's iconic milkshakes. They are open Sunday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
