Theoline Harbison Reeves was born March 23, 1924 in Cullman to John Richard and Dora Phillips Harbison.
She was a graduate of Robertsdale High School, attended Wheaton University in Chicago, Spring Hill College in Mobile, and graduated in Nursing from City Hospital in Mobile.
She worked as a registered nurse at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope until her husband returned from the Korean conflict. She then spent the majority of her life being a homemaker and mother and later spent a number of years working at the Lawrence County Nursing Home in Monticello, Miss.
She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello, Miss.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl Lee Reeves, son-in-law, Charles W. Stanback Sr. and oldest sister; Vyonne Spivey.
Survivors include three sisters, Eloise Flowers of Foley, Mary (Otha) Grant of Milton, Fla., and Martha (Kenneth) Smith of Brookhaven, Miss.; one brother; JR (Sharon) Harbison of Robertsdale; three sons, Bill (Tracy) Reeves of Jackson, Miss., Dwight (Julie) Reeves of Starkville, Miss., and Dick (Holly) Reeves of Monticello; daughter; Cecile Stanback of Monticello; grandchildren, Wes (Anna) Reeves of Huntsville, Leslie (Kirby) Craft of Magee, Miss., Lauren (Adam) Holder of Starkville, Miss., Lee (Jan) Reeves of Clinton, Miss., Will Stanback, Philip Stanback, Jamie Reeves, Leigh Ann Reeves, and Jonathan Reeves all of Monticello, Miss., and Christopher Reeves of Jackson, Miss.; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held March 2 at Bethel Baptist Church in Monticello, Miss., and Bethel Baptist Church in Robertsdale. Interment followed at Bethel Cemetery, Robertsdale.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Bethel Baptist Church Theoline Reeves Memorial Fund or the Center for Pregnancy Choices of Lawrence County.
