Rebecca "Becky" Rowe Walker, a native of Fairhope, Alabama, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 at the age of 64.

Becky was born to Gale W. Rowe and Eloise N. Rowe on Nov. 21, 1951 in Honolulu, Hawaii while her father was stationed there with the Navy.

She grew up in Fairhope and attended the Marietta Johnson School of Organic Education and public school where she played the clarinet in the school band.

Becky had a passion for travel and worked at two local travel agencies. She also worked as a meeting planner, which allowed her to travel abroad. Most recently, she became a licensed esthetician.

Becky had a strong love for others, especially her family, and her smile lit up the room. You could often find Becky walking along Mobile Bay, gardening, singing or gushing about her children.

She is survived by her three siblings, Christopher (Connie) M. Rowe of Fairhope, Alabama, Clifford (Nan) D. Rowe of Lancaster, Ohio and Marsha (Mark) R. Foster of Fairhope, Alabama; two children, daughter Martha (Robert) C. Schwab of Greensboro, North Carolina; and son, Nathan (Paige) C. Walker of Peachtree City, Georgia; and one granddaughter, Etta G. Walker.

The family held a memorial at Henry George Bluff Park in Fairhope for family and friends to celebrate her life.
