Reader thinks columnist’s political commentary should appear on Opinion page

The column “Carry On” written by Bob Morgan should be placed on the editorial page of your paper.

Many, if not most, of his columns are political opinion pieces.

His column in the June 24, 2011 edition is a good example of his political slant, as he writes that the content of State Sen. (Scott) Beason’s (R-Blount) wire-tapped conversation, used in the current bingo trial of those charged with influence pedaling, is more damning than the actions of U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y.

This is certainly a specious argument.

He is free to express his political opinions, but they should be placed on your editorial pages, not as a human-interest piece in the Baldwin People Section.
