SPANISH FORT — The Spanish Fort Public Library announced that 8-year-old Anne Holland Barrett of Spanish Fort is the winner of the limited-edition card design competition.

Anne Holland won the library design competition, with her caption, "READ MORE".

Her library card design will be used alongside the public relations campaign Spanish Fort Public Library is hosting for the month of November 2022 that declares, save with your library card, shop local.

"Here at the Spanish Fort Public Library, we agree with Anne
Holland that "READ MORE" is a great rule to live by," Tracy M. Cole, library director, said. "Thanks, Anne Holland, for helping the library spread the important message on the superpower that is reading more!"

The Spanish Fort Public Library had about 50 designs submitted for the card competition this past summer. Cole said library supporters appreciated all those who participated and stretched their creative muscle.

The limited-edition card will be available this November for anyone signing up for a new Spanish Fort Public Library card. New SFPL cardholders will have the option to choose the standard card design or the winning "Read More" design. The winning design cards are limited in quantity and will be available while supplies last. Current SFPL cardholders will have the option to replace their existing library card with the new design option by paying the standard card replacement fee of $2.00

Spanish Fort Public Library cards provide patrons access to resources all across the Baldwin County Library Cooperative catalog, including access to hotspot checkouts, online resources, ebooks, eaudiobooks, career and resume resources, ACT/SAT online test prep, virtual tutoring, books, movies, videogames, research databases, tutoring, and homework help via Homework Alabama.

The Spanish Fort Public Library is part of the Baldwin County Library Cooperative that shares materials and resources all over Baldwin County for library card holders. The Spanish Fort Public Library limited-edition card will be accepted at all 14 participating BCLC libraries and bookmobile.
