Raymond Leo “Britch” Lovell

Raymond Leo “Britch” Lovell, 88, born Nov. 24, 1925, passed away July 27, 2014.

His parents were Morgan Anthony Lovell and Laura Wind; and his stepmother was Gladys Yentch.

He was born and raised in Loxley, and became a lifelong farmer where his legacy continues today.

He joined the U.S. Navy and spent three years serving in the South Pacific during WWII.

He enjoyed traveling in his later years and spending time with family. He passed away peacefully at home with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nadine Lowe Lovell (married Oct. 3, 1948); his three children, Larry (Debbie) Lovell, Judy Lovell and James (Trine) Lovell; seven grandchildren, Theresa Lovell Waller, Raymond Anthony “Tony” Lovell, Brian Lovell, Heather Taylor, Ashley Lovell, Brandon Lovell and Justin Lovell; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at Mack Funeral Home in Robertsdale, with a visitation from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley.

He volunteered his time to Greenwood Cemetery for 52 years.
