Thank you Fairhope for your continued support in voting me back onto the Fairhope City Council. I will continue to open, accessible and proactive on issues that affect our lives each day. I also thank you for showing your confidence in my ability to help lead this city for the next four years. This new council will have to listen and respect different viewpoints on a wide variety of issues. Ultimately we must show a united effort in order to nurture the financial stability, future growth and vision for Fairhope.
I also want to thank my re-election committee, especially Teko and Hollis Wiseman, Harriet Gutknecht and Jackie Wavernek for their tremendous support. Also, thanks to all the candidates who ran for public office for their time and efforts. It’s not an easy task for any of us to stand before you and open ourselves up to public scrutiny and give you our thoughts, hopes and visions for our city. Time will show that ultimately the political process works.
There are a lot of issues that will face this council and will need to be addressed as soon as we take office on Nov. 3rd. I hope that you will stand beside us during these deliberations and help us direct our city’s future.
Forty-seven percent of Fairhope residents cast their vote Aug. 26 in an election that will go down in history as one of the most important milestones in our city’s electoral process. The run-off election is Oct. 7, and I hope that you will cast your vote once again.
Thanks again for your support.
