Quentin Bauer, 89, a resident of Foley, passed on July 25, 2013.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1923 to Edward John Bauer and Margaret Braun Bauer in Jasper, Ind. He was currently married to Sara “Terri” Bauer.
He resided in Summerdale, and on his farm in Walnut Hill, Fla. in his early years. He later lived in Elberta and then moved to Foley.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, and was stationed at various posts stateside and overseas.
He enjoyed fishing, music, his dog Bouncer, music festivals and going to activities at the Foley Senior Center.
As a young man he was baptized into the Church of God In Christ, Mennonite in Summerdale. More recently he attended the First Presbyterian Church in Foley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Allene Harris; and five brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his current wife, Sara “Terri” Bauer; her daughter, Leslie Carley (Gary); her children and grandchild of Mobile. He is also survived by his sister, Cecilia Willis of Fairhope; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family of Baldwin County.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 2 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Foley.
