Daphne, AL February 2012: Children in Ms. Latrece’s Prekindergarten Class at Little Crusaders Learning Center in Daphne began a week long unit about Dr. Seuss. On Friday, February 24 they decorated the classroom for the upcoming week of activities which include using disclosing tablets (The Tooth Book), wearing wacky outfits (Wacky Wednesday), pajamas (Marvin K. Mooney, Will You Please Go Now?) and hats (500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins).

“I appreciate the receptiveness of the parents and can hear the excitement in the voices of the children as we prepare for this fun time that emphasizes reading and literacy” said Ms. Latrece. On Friday, March 2, the class hosts a costume luncheon and snack party for Dr. Seuss in honor of writer, Theodor Geisel, the creator of The Cat in the Hat. “Ms. Latrece enjoys her work,” says owner and director of Little Crusaders Learning Center, Rivers Calvert “and we appreciate her teaching our PreK children.”
