Premier Medical is expanding its team with the addition of three physicians who will provide specialized care in Mobile and Baldwin counties.

The new doctors are ophthalmologist Dr. John H. Friend IV and ear, nose and throat specialists Dr. Kacie R. Oglesby and Dr. Christopher G. Weeks.

Friend completed his residency in ophthalmology at Louisiana State University and went on to a fellowship in cornea, cataract and refractive surgery in Dallas, Texas. He specializes in cataract surgery, LASIK, PRK and corneal transplants, and will see patients at Premier Medical East and Providence offices.

Oglesby earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She focuses on diagnosing and treating conditions of the ears, nose and throat, along with head and neck surgery and sleep surgery. She will practice at Premier Medical East.

Weeks, who completed medical training at UAB and a residency at Baylor College of Medicine, specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions of the ears, nose and throat. His interests include sinus and nasal surgery, thyroid surgery, sleep surgery and voice and airway disorders. He will practice at Premier Medical West and the Daphne office.

With these additions, Premier Medical now has 27 eye care professionals and 13 ear, nose and throat specialists across its practices.
