Doris Langham Powell, 67, a native of Mobile, and a resident of Bay Minette, died Wednesday, July 19, 2007 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Belford W. Powell Sr. and her grandchild, Eden Powell.

Survivors include her children, Belford Wren (Tena) Powell Jr. of Bay Minette, Deborah Kay Powell (David) Kennedy of Hollman Air Force Base, N.M., James Wiley (Vicki) Powell of Mobile and Bobby Brandon Wren (Eleanor) Powell of Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas; brother, Donald L. (Alice) Langham of Mobile; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 23 at Durant Chapel Baptist Church with Dr. Henry Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Crest Cemetery in Mobile.

Active pallbearers will be Bubba Sansom, Charles Entrekin, Blaine Patrick, Tommy Evans, Stanford Powell and Timmy Brooks. Honorary; will be Cleve McDonald, Freddie Lovett, David Kennedy and Brandon Powell.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the USA Mitchell Cancer Institute, 2150 Health Service Building, 307 University Blvd., Mobile, AL 36688 or to Durant Chapel Baptist Church 9551 Highway 138, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
