Posh Interiors, a longtime Gulf Coast design destination and family-owned business, is permanently closing its doors as founder Patti Waldrop retires after two decades at the helm.
According to a news release, the Orange Beach showroom’s final liquidation sale is already underway, with store officials saying inventory is moving quickly as customers take advantage of steep discounts on home furnishings and decor.
Since opening in 2005, Posh Interiors has become a fixture in the Orange Beach community, serving homeowners, vacation property owners and property managers across the Gulf Coast. Over the past 20 years, the company has built a customer base stretching from Daphne, Fairhope and Foley to Gulf Shores, Pensacola Beach and Perdido Key, as well as communities from Destin to Blue Mountain Beach and towns throughout Mississippi and Louisiana.
Known for its full-service design center and turnkey home furnishing solutions, the store developed a reputation for high-quality pieces and personalized service under Waldrop’s leadership. The business specialized in creating fully furnished, thoughtfully designed interiors for both primary homes and coastal rental properties, a niche that helped it stand out in the region’s fast-growing real estate and tourism markets.
Beyond its business presence, Posh Interiors also played an active role in the community, supporting local schools, sports teams and charitable organizations, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Toys for Tots.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the relationships and support we’ve experienced over the years,” Waldrop said in the release. “It has been an honor to serve this community.”
The going-out-of-business sale is being held at the store’s showroom at 25150 Canal Rd., just east of the Orange Beach water tower on Canal Road. The 24,000-square-foot space is filled with discounted merchandise, including indoor and outdoor furnishings, sofas, sectionals, accent chairs, manual and power recliners, mattresses, dining sets and patio furniture.
The liquidation also includes merchandise from nationally recognized brands such as Alfresco Home, Amisco, Bernhardt, Braxton Culler, Dovetail, Franklin Corporation, John Michael, Leather Italia, Liberty, Mega Motion, Sea Winds, Southern Motion, Telescope and Vaughan Bassett.
Store management is encouraging customers to shop early for the best selection as the once-in-a-lifetime sale continues until all inventory is sold.
