Genevieve Blackmon Pollard, 86, born March 16, 1921, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at her residence.
She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Spanish Fort. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 539.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Pollard.
Survivors include brother, Lawrence Blackmon of Spanish Fort; two daughters, Sandra (Shorty) Turberville of Spanish Fort, Debra (Donnie) Merritt of White House Fork; three grandchildren, Charles (Carol) Turberville of Spanish Fort, Jesse (Angelia) Van Atta of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Jonathan Van Atta of Daphne; six great-grandchildren, Tyler Turberville of Fairhope, Christopher and Cody Turberville of Spanish Fort, Jaden and Judah Van Atta of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Caleb Van Atta of Spanish Fort; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 15 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Daphne.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 16, from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at Wilson Cemetery, Spanish Fort.
