Police seeking El Paso girl last seen in Daphne (UPDATED)

Update: Daphne police state that Cathleen Pomar was found unharmed in Enterprise with Jerry Lee William White, who was charged with interference with child custody, a felony. Pomar will be returned to her mother, police stated.

DAPHNE, Ala.—The Daphne Police Department is seeking missing person Cathleen Lynn Pomar, 16, of El Paso, Texas. She is 5 feet, 2 inches and weighs around 100 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen Dec. 22.

“She met this guy on the Internet and apparently arranged to meet him in person once her family got here,” Sgt. Brian Gulsby said. “He showed up and picked her up and they haven’t seen her since then.”

Police stated she is believed to be in the company of Jerry Lee William White, 20, who stands at 5 feet 9 inches and weighs around 170 pounds. White, a Foley resident, drives a maroon 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck, and the pair is believed to be in the Foley or Pensacola area, police stated.

“We know he has some ties to Pensacola,” Gulsby said.

Pomar was last seen at Sea Cliff Condominiums in Daphne.

“We have no reason to believe at this point that (White) would harm her, but she has some medical issues and does not have her medicine,” Gulsby said. “So, she has not been able to take it for over a week now.”

Gulsby said Pomar visited Baldwin County with her family for the holidays; she previously lived in Daphne.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Pomar is asked to contact the Daphne Police Department, 621-9100.
