The Pensacola Museum of Art (PMA) is pleased to welcome artist submissions to the 11th annual Art in the Park, a juried arts festival featuring more than 100 regional and national artists. The festival will be held in historic Seville Square, located in Pensacola’s Cultural Arts District, just minutes from the beautiful waterfront and the Pensacola Museum of Art.
The PMA is also accepting submissions to the Art in the Park poster contest. The winner will have his or her design featured on all promotional festival material, and will win a free booth at the show. Image specifications can be found on the online application, and are due by midnight on Dec. 13.
Visitors will be immersed in the arts through a selection of activities, all located within the beautiful setting of historic Seville Square. Artists’ booths feature a full range of media such as ceramics, photography, jewelry, sculpture, paintings and more. Art in the Park increases community awareness of the arts while adding to the spirit and uniqueness that make our region such a great place to live, work and play.
Art in the Park is set for May 11-12, 2013; Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at Seville Square Park, 311 E. Government St., Pensacola.
The Museum will give $5,000 in awards to winning artists: Best of Show: $1,500; Award of Distinction: $750;
Award of Excellence: $500 (4); and Award of Honor: $250 (3). Artists may submit applications on zapplication.org, or download the application at pensacolamuseumofart.org.
