Wilma Clark Agee Plumstead died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008.

She was born May 4, 1916 in Freesmanburg W.Va., to William P. and Elizabeth Anderson Clark.

She spent most of her young years in Ohio and graduated from Greenville High School, Greenville, Ohio. After High School, she attended and graduated with an R.N. degree, from Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, where she was affiliated with General and Children's Hospital. She also practiced nursing at Georgia Baptist in Atlanta during World War II.

She moved to Mobile in 1953 with her family, where she practiced her nursing in her husband's office, Dr. Ernest B. Agee Jr. After their divorce, she practiced at University of South Alabama Medical Center, in the neonatal unit until her retirement.

After retiring, she moved to Westminster Village in Spanish Fort, she was a longtime member of Springhill Presbyterian Church in Mobile. When she moved to Westminster Village in Spanish Fort, she transferred her membership to Spanish Fort Presbyterian.

While at Westminster Village, she helped coordinate the operation of the Westminster Village Thrift Store, and was active in other events held at Westminster.

In 2000, she met and married Porter G. Plumstead. After their marriage they moved to Fairhope.

She was preceded in death by, Porter G. Plumstead; two brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include a sister, Cleo Bales, of Wilmington, Ohio, a son, David C. (Joyce) Agee of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Beverly Agee Young of Panama City, Fla.; step-son, Bart Plumstead of Chicago; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Spanish Fort Presbyterian Church or Covenant Hospice.

Visitation will begin at noon with a memorial service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral home in Fairhope. Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley.
